Here at Artisan Handyman, we recently had the unique opportunity to provide Flagpole repair and installation services for an office complex in the heart of Edmond, OK. The owner informed us that the old flagpole needed some sprucing up and the flag, along with the rope, had been stolen one night. So, we got to work. We painted the pole with oil-based aluminum paint and installed a new cord with clips 30 feet up. This was a learning experience for us, as we had to master the proper knots for the clips and the ends of the cord. Once that was done, we installed a new all-weather flag. A storm rolled through just two days later, with wind gusts of up to 60 mph, but ‘Old Glory’ held strong. The customer was delighted, especially since he wanted it done before the July 4th week.
